Clevylinks at the Phnom Penh E-Commerce Forum
EuroCham Cambodia hosted its very first Logistics Forum on February the 13th in Phnom Penh. Participants received a full day of expert insights, analysis and panel discussions including a panel on E-logistics : the last mile delivery, challenges and opportunities, opened by by H.E. Sun Chanthol Minister of Public Works and Transport as well as by EU Ambassador H.E. George Edgar, and EuroCham Chairman Arnaud Darc.
Frederic Campagnac, chair of EU Chamber of Commerce / South China chapter Logistics working group, was invited to speak in a round table on E-commerce logistics. It was the occasion of a rich exchange with H. E. Mr. KAN Chanmeta, Secretary of State, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the GM of Uber Cambodia and the GM of a local start-up of parcel delivery, confronting the already significant Chinese experience with the starting trends of Cambodia.
Campagnac said : Cambodian e-commerce will be cross-border at the first place, in order to find a significant market for the Cambodian production and also to offer enough product range for Cambodian consumer. With a high rate of smartphone equipment, e-wallet developing, start-up investing the local delivery market, the global environment is favourable for Cambodia e-commerce development. European companies may consider this new market … anyhow I will !
